What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support general accounting and financial analysis functions. The role focuses on accurate ledger maintenance, transaction reconciliation, and producing timely financial information to support business decision-making.
- Prepare, maintain, and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Prepare, analyze, record, and report accounting transactions to ensure completeness and compliance with accounting policies.
- Support financial planning activities and variance analysis.
- Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial data to support business stakeholders.
- Analyze and prepare statutory accounts and financial reports as required.
- Participate in accounting-related projects and document process improvements and controls.
- Resolve routine accounting issues using established policies and accounting principles.
- Collaborate with internal teams and share financial information as needed.
- Contribute to team deliverables and continue developing accounting knowledge and expertise.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to consolidate, organize, and analyze large datasets quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with large datasets and data analysis tools.
- Ability to manage routine assignments independently and seek guidance when needed.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis.
- Familiarity with variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
- Exposure to statutory reporting requirements and financial statement preparation.
- Experience documenting business processes, controls, or accounting projects.
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Prior experience mentoring, training, or functioning in a player-coach capacity.
Schedule & Location
- Employee type: Full-time, permanent.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.
- Work hours: Flexible start between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM ET (40-hour work week).
- Location requirement: Candidate must reside within the region of the position or be willing to self-relocate. Position based in Strathmoor Manor, KY (Louisville area).
Compensation
- Estimated pay: $48,336 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and applicable law.
