Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Rotables General Ledger Accounting Specialist II to support general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and analysis. This hands-on role works with large datasets, supports month-end close activities, prepares statutory and management reports, and helps drive process improvements. This is an early-career to entry-level role with room for growth.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial records
• Assist in preparing financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss)
• Record, analyze, and report accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support variance analysis and financial planning activities
• Prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and management reports
• Consolidate, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support business decisions
• Document accounting processes, participate in accounting projects, and suggest improvements
• Resolve routine accounting issues using established policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and share financial information as needed
• Contribute to team deliverables and continue developing accounting expertise

What We’re Looking For (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable consolidating and analyzing large volumes of data
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with large datasets and data analysis tools
• Ability to manage routine assignments and escalate when guidance is needed
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized)

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

• Prior experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis
• Familiarity with variance analysis and financial performance reporting
• Exposure to statutory reporting and financial statement preparation
• Experience documenting business processes and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling)
• Prior mentoring or “player-coach” experience
