What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Audit Associate to join their Assurance practice. In this role you will support financial statement audits, apply auditing methodologies, and help clients maintain transparent, compliant financial reporting. This is a hands-on position designed for candidates who are developing technical accounting skills and preparing to take the CPA exam.

  • Conduct financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Apply auditing methodologies to assess financial documents and internal controls
  • Review and verify financial documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Use data analysis to identify trends and inform audit insights
  • Support documentation and process-improvement efforts to increase audit efficiency
  • Collaborate with client teams and internal colleagues to resolve audit findings
  • Participate in project management tasks to meet timelines and deliverables
  • Uphold professional and independence standards while contributing to client service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Accounting (entry-level candidates finishing final academic requirements encouraged to apply)
  • Minimum overall GPA: 3.0 (preference for 3.5)
  • Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the state of intended employment prior to starting full-time
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on client engagements
  • Comfortable using technology and open to leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency

  • Prior exposure to auditing, accounting, or assurance-related coursework or internship experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Accounting & Financial Reporting standards

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $53,500 - $104,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will follow applicable employment laws. Eligible hires may receive an annual discretionary bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and personal/family sick leave.


Travel Requirements

  • Up to 20% travel may be required.
