Roadway/Transportation Designer
The Roadway/Transportation Designer at Confidential Client will support the design and development of highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects by producing detailed plans and geometric designs using CAD software. This role involves collaboration with experienced professionals to create traffic control, signing, and ADA-compliant facility designs, contributing to innovative transportation solutions within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
Assist the project team with roadway and transportation design tasks across planning, design, and construction phases.
- Assist in the design and development of conceptual alternatives and final design plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects.
- Support preparation of traffic control, staging, signing, and striping plans.
- Perform geometric design and prepare plan sheets using CAD and design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, InRoads, AutoTurn, GuideSign).
- Assist in ADA-compliant design for sidewalks, shared-use paths, and intersection curb ramps.
- Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary team members to incorporate design criteria, standards, and client requirements.
- Review and help prepare technical memos, drawings, and submittal packages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
- 0–5 years of relevant civil/transportation engineering experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Experience or coursework with Bentley CONNECT Suite (MicroStation/InRoads) and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in team environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Compensation & Employment Details
- Estimated salary: $55,557 per year (estimated).
