What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Road Engineering team is hiring an entry-level Staff Engineer to support roadway design projects in Williams Creek, IN and across Indiana. You’ll join a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience contributing to projects from design through construction.

  • Assist with the design and layout of roadway horizontal and vertical alignments
  • Support geometry, drainage, signage, pavement marking, and maintenance-of-traffic design tasks
  • Develop construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and help prepare construction cost estimates and bid-ready plan sets
  • Coordinate with utilities and collaborate on pavement analysis and design as needed
  • Participate in occasional site visits and construction support activities
  • Other project support tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (recent or soon-to-be graduate)
  • 0–4 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, academic projects, or entry-level roles)
  • Familiarity with MicroStation / OpenRoads Designer is a plus — willingness to learn required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with basic quantity takeoff and estimating aptitude
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take direction from senior engineers
