What You’ll Do

This entry-level Risk Analyst role is part of a College Program and sits on a broking team supporting reinsurance placements and client engagements for a Confidential Client. The role blends analytical work, client communication, and placement support while you learn the business and prepare for a broker career path.

  • Support broking teams with data collection, analysis, and preparation of reinsurance submissions.
  • Help organize and prepare client and market presentations explaining industry trends and recommended solutions.
  • Provide market research and financial analysis to assist senior brokers with client relationship and sales activities.
  • Assist with contract documentation, ensuring terms and conditions are accurately recorded and tracked.
  • Monitor account activities (premium payments, loss collections) and help resolve client or reinsurer queries.
  • Coordinate scheduling of reinsurer audits, client meetings, and follow-up tasks to support smooth placement flow.
  • Participate in training and development activities to prepare for progression toward Account Executive responsibilities.

Who We’re Looking For

This posting is for the Boston, NY location (hybrid). The Confidential Client expects team members to be on-site at least three days per week.

  • Fully matriculated student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with expected graduation in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and quantitative ability; attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure to meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Relevant internship or work experience in insurance, reinsurance, finance, analytics, or consulting.
  • Experience with financial analysis, data manipulation, or presentation development.
  • Eagerness to learn broking/placement processes and a proactive, client-focused mindset.
