What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level RF Process Engineer I to support development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes for Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) products. This is an on-site, full-time role in Buckingham, TX.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as the engineering authority for MMIC products through transition from development to production and customer support.
  • Identify process issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reliability.
  • Design experiments and analyze data to drive process improvements and ensure manufacturability.
  • Perform RF/microwave measurements (product characterization, acceptance testing, ATP, and ongoing performance monitoring).
  • Support IC package, test fixture, and evaluation PCB design; assist modeling and simulation tasks.
  • Provide application engineering support to customers, including troubleshooting and creation of datasheets/application notes.
  • Assist production activities: low-volume MMIC assembly, die inspection (microscope), test support, and product delivery.
  • Contribute to documentation, fixture development, technical reports, and cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
  • Coursework in RF design or electromagnetics (RF theory).
  • Knowledge of active device fundamentals (FETs, diodes).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet U.S. export-control requirements (must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status).

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSEE or related electrical engineering degree.
  • ~2 years of RF circuit design or relevant experience (internships and co-ops count).
  • Experience with AWR or ADS simulation tools.
  • RF measurement experience (small-signal S-parameters) and familiarity with vector network analyzers.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Ansys, or SolidWorks.
  • DOD work experience or exposure to defense/aerospace programs.
  • Strong adaptability, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.

Location & Work Type
