Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level RF Mechanical Engineer I to join an onsite engineering team in Tucson, AZ. This role supports the design, prototyping, integration, and test of RF systems, subsystems and components (including antennas, RF circuit cards, and RF test equipment). This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an interim U.S. government security clearance prior to the start date. Employment type: Contract / Full-time.


What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate within multi-discipline teams to solve complex engineering challenges
  • Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs
  • Develop prototype hardware designs and coordinate fabrication
  • Perform hands-on integration and test support for prototype hardware
  • Lead and participate in design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts

Qualifications — Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field completed by start date
  • Coursework, projects, or internship experience in one or more of: manufacturing and design, thermodynamics/heat transfer, vibrations, materials, mechatronics, or statics
  • U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility)
  • Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with 3D CAD tools — preferably Creo Parametric
  • Experience creating engineering drawings
  • Hands-on prototype fabrication experience
  • Class projects, internships, or academic research that demonstrate application of technical coursework

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $57,200 — $108,800 USD (good-faith estimate across experience levels). Offers consider role responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, and skills.
  • Benefits (may vary by business unit and employment type) may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, tuition assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
  • Eligibility for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive programs may apply depending on role and agreements.
  • Relocation eligibility may be available.

Location & Security Clearance

  • Work location: Onsite — Tucson, AZ (1151 E Hermans Rd, BLDG M02)
  • Security requirement: Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to start. Clearance type: DoD Secret (or as required). U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • As part of the hiring process, some interview steps may be required in-person at a client facility.
  • This is a U.S.-based role. If hired from a U.S. territory, applicable pay structure and benefits will apply.
