About the Role

RF Engineer I in Louisville, CO — entry-level RF engineering role supporting the design, development, and test of RF systems and components for space and defense applications for a confidential client. This is a hands-on position where you will work under mentor guidance to develop antennas, transmitters, receivers, and RF amplifiers while learning RF design tools and test equipment.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the design and development of RF systems and components (antennas, transmitters, receivers, RF amplifiers).
  • Support RF system test and validation activities using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Use electrical and RF design tools to perform basic design and analysis tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF components and meet system-level requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and traceability records.
  • Follow established procedures and work under mentorship to improve design quality and reliability.
  • Stay current with RF industry trends and apply new learning to projects.

Qualifications

Minimum (required)

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Entry-level / 0–2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, components, and common measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical design workflows and tool usage.
  • Ability to follow instructions, accept mentorship, and learn quickly.

Preferred

  • Experience or coursework with RF design and simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, or CST.
  • Basic hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment (network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
  • Understanding of RF performance parameters (gain, noise figure, linearity).
  • Experience with PCB design/layout tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication/teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt in an engineering environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range (base): $77,403.00 - $106,450.50 per year.
  • Actual pay will be determined case-by-case based on experience, skills, education, and market factors.

  • Employment type: Full-time.
