Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking RF Engineers to join a team supporting DoD, federal, and commercial satellite programs. Work will involve RF spectrum management, signal analysis, and electronic warfare support for mission-critical systems. This position is based in Fort George G Meade, MD and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring at multiple experience levels. You will support RF/spectrum engineering tasks across system development, analysis, and operations.

• Apply RF engineering concepts and technical procedures to produce technical deliverables.
• Perform spectrum measurements and signal analysis using specialized tools.
• Collaborate with design and operations teams to integrate RF spectrum requirements into system designs.
• Troubleshoot spectrum-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Research and apply DoD, NTIA, and FCC spectrum policies and procedures.
• Track emerging technologies and evaluate their spectrum impacts.
• Contribute to electronic warfare and C5ISR-related efforts as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should meet one of the experience/education paths below depending on level:

• RF Engineer 3
  • Bachelor’s degree + ~5 years relevant experience; OR
  • Master’s degree + ~3 years relevant experience; OR
  • High school diploma/GED + ~9 years relevant experience.
• RF Engineer 4
  • Bachelor’s degree + ~9 years relevant experience; OR
  • Master’s degree + ~7 years relevant experience; OR
  • High school diploma/GED + ~13 years relevant experience.

Required skills and attributes:

• Knowledge of RF engineering, wireless communications, or spectrum management (classroom, internship, or practical experience).
• Experience or aptitude with spectrum measurements and signal analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Fort George G Meade, MD as required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

Preferred / Desirable

• Experience with electronic warfare (EW), satellite communications, or C5ISR systems.
• Familiarity with DoD/NTIA/FCC spectrum policy and spectrum management processes.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment and spectrum analyzers.
• Team collaboration on complex system-of-systems programs.

Compensation

The source posting lists an anticipated salary range and level-specific bands. Visible ranges from the source include:

• Anticipated range: $108,606 – $135,000 per year.
• Level-specific examples (provided by the client): RF Engineer 3: $108,606 – $155,151; RF Engineer 4: $129,850 – $185,500.

The final offer will consider education, experience, role level, and other factors.
