What You’ll Do

Confidential client is hiring a Restorative Life Enrichment Nursing Assistant to support geriatric and extended-care residents in Prescott, AZ. You will deliver hands-on resident care, assist with restorative and life-enrichment programs, and work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to support safe, dignified, person-centered care.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Support restorative programs that promote residents’ independence and quality of life
• Monitor, document, and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional status to supervising nurse
• Use basic clinical equipment and perform simple diagnostic/treatment tasks (e.g., bladder scans, blood glucose checks, specimen collection) per training and policy
• Follow individualized care plans and contribute to goal-setting and recovery efforts
• Provide safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics and lifting equipment
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff
• Serve as a preceptor/mentor to new Nursing Assistants when assigned
• Recognize emergent situations (e.g., need for basic life support, bleeding, behavioral crisis) and respond appropriately while obtaining immediate assistance

Minimum Qualifications

These reflect the basic VA-style qualification structure used by confidential client. Candidates who meet one of the following combinations may be considered:

• U.S. citizenship (per role requirements)
• English proficiency sufficient for clear spoken and written communication
• One of the following to meet entry-level (GS-03) minimums:
  • Six months of general experience demonstrating the ability to learn and perform NA duties; OR
  • One year of education above high school with courses related to nursing/NA occupation; OR
  • Completion of an intensive, occupation-related training program (under one year) relevant to NA work
• For GS-04 (intermediate) consideration: one year of specialized NA experience or equivalent education (successful completion of 2 years above high school in health-related coursework)
• For GS-05 (full performance): one year of progressively responsible assignments equivalent to GS-04 OR a bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in health-related coursework
• Demonstrated KSAs: patient/resident care, therapeutic communication, proper equipment use, teamwork, and the ability to observe and report changes in condition

Preferred / Helpful Experience

• Prior experience in geriatrics, long-term care, hospital, or outpatient settings
• Familiarity with bladder scan devices, continuous passive motion devices, glucometers, and specimen collection procedures
• Experience training or mentoring new staff and coordinating orientation activities
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical & Work Requirements

• Visual acuity, keen hearing, clear speech, and manual dexterity required
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pushing, and pulling; ability to transfer patients and objects safely
• Potential exposure to infectious patients/materials and occasional exposure to combative patients due to delirium, dementia, or psychiatric disorders
• Must meet annual Employee Health requirements (e.g., TB screening/testing) and any site-specific immunization or clearance rules

Compensation & Employment Details

• Employment type: Full time — Contractor (per posting)
• Salary range (provided by confidential client): $39,124 - $63,877 per year
• Full performance level for this posting: GS-05; hiring grade range: GS-03 to GS-05
• Location: Prescott, AZ (on-site)
