What You’ll Do
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) 1 supporting our Confidential Client's pulmonary services, you'll deliver entry-level respiratory care across acute and critical care settings. Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform respiratory assessments and monitor patients across all age groups
- Administer respiratory care procedures (oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, non-invasive ventilation, basic airway management)
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment and document treatments accurately in the medical record
- Respond to code situations and participate in patient transport as needed
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to follow care plans and escalate concerns
- Participate in education and skills development to expand clinical competency

Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC within 12 months of hire
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
Preferred
- Membership in professional organizations (AARC, WSRC)
- Advanced certifications (crisis de-escalation / MANDT, Hospital HazMat, special pathogens)
