What You’ll Do
Under supervision, the Respiratory Care Practitioner I applies specialized respiratory care knowledge to assess and recommend interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary issues. Typical duties include:
- Perform patient assessments and implement respiratory therapies (medical gas, humidity, aerosol, hyperinflation, bronchial hygiene)
- Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning per protocol
- Provide emergency/critical respiratory support (airway management, resuscitation assistance)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and follow clinical/operational systems
- Participate in continuing education and competency validation as required
Who We’re Looking For (Required)
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Care from a COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy Program required
- Active Maryland State Respiratory Care license required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (applicants requiring sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered)
- Willingness to work variable schedules/shifts as clinical needs require
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care (COARC-accredited) preferred
- ACLS preferred
- Demonstrated competency in mechanical ventilation and acute/critical care environments
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $34.62 — $57.19 per hour (compensation will be commensurate with experience)
- New Hire Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (as listed in the source posting)
