What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring Residential Support Specialists to provide direct care and support to adults with mental-health related diagnoses living in residential group homes in Lynn, MA. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Offer guidance to residents during skills-building activities
  • Develop and help implement individual treatment and support plans
  • Assist with daily living activities (meal preparation, money management, transportation to appointments, personal hygiene)
  • Provide side-by-side coaching to build social, self-management, and community-integration skills
  • Maintain appropriate staff-to-client ratios and ensure resident safety
  • Build supportive, person-centered relationships with residents
  • Encourage participation in community activities and recovery-focused programming

Who You Are / Qualifications

The role is open to entry-level and experienced candidates. Minimum and preferred qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience:
    • Experience supporting individuals in mental health, special education, or other human services settings OR
    • Experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders
  • Certifications & requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license required
    • Must be or be able to become MAP-certified
    • Must be or be able to become CPR/First Aid certified within five months of hire (training provided)
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and observational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Respectful, patient, and consistent approach to behavioral support

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay: $20.00 per hour
  • $2.00/hour premium for high-intensity program assignments (when applicable)
  • Paid Time Off: 2 weeks’ vacation (3 weeks after 1 year), 12 sick days/year, 11 paid holidays

Schedule & Location

  • Positions available in Lynn, MA
  • Full-time and part-time schedules; day, evening and overnight shifts
  • Candidates should indicate shift preference; schedule assignments will depend on program needs
