What You’ll Do

The Resident RN Clinician participates in a structured Nursing Residency Program (NRP) to develop core clinical nursing skills and deliver safe, patient-centered care under supervision. Typical responsibilities include:

• Perform basic patient assessments and apply nursing knowledge to plan and deliver care
• Document patient care accurately in electronic and paper records
• Identify patient and family education needs and provide appropriate resources
• Practice time management and delegation consistent with the AACN Synergy Model
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team and seek guidance when needed
• Support efficient use and accurate billing of medical supplies
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Participate in orientation, required training, and residency program activities
• Function as Charge Nurse only in extenuating circumstances

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited prelicensure BSN program (required)
• New graduate — entry-level nurses in their first nursing role (must enter the program within 12 months of graduation; exceptions considered for personal or military commitments)
• Active, unencumbered RN license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia licensing board (compact/eNLC requirements apply if multi-state virtual care duties will be performed)
• BLS certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications may be required based on department after hire
• Commitment to complete required orientation and the residency program

Preferred / program expectations (may apply depending on hire date or prior agreements):

• ADN/ASN candidates hired under prior agreements may be required to complete an ADN/ASN-to-BSN program within two years per earlier enrollment conditions

Physical Requirements

Medium-Heavy physical demands; may include:

• Lifting up to 75 lbs (max); frequent lifting/carrying in lower weight ranges
• Standing and walking for portions of the shift; occasional sitting
• Close visual tasks: computer work, reading, documentation

Environmental Factors

Work may include exposure to clinical hazards and variable environments depending on assignment:

• Blood-borne pathogen exposure and bio-hazardous waste
• Chemicals, gases, fumes, and communicable diseases
• Use of personal protective equipment (including respirators)
• Potential for shift work and occasional travel
• Variable indoor/outdoor temperature and floor surfaces

• Pay: USD $42.00 / Hour (as listed by the hiring client)
