Position Overview

Confidential client is hiring a full-time Resident RN Clinician as part of its Nursing Residency Program (NRP). This entry-level role is designed for new nursing graduates to develop clinical assessment, documentation, and patient-care skills under supervision. This position is based in North Decatur, GA.


What You’ll Do

The Resident RN Clinician participates in the Nursing Residency Program to build a strong clinical foundation and apply nursing theory in the care of patients. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Provide patient-centered nursing care using basic assessment and clinical skills
  • Implement and evaluate individualized care plans consistent with the AACN Synergy Model
  • Document patient care accurately in electronic and physical medical records
  • Identify patient and family education needs and use available teaching resources
  • Practice time-management, prioritize tasks, and delegate appropriately under supervision
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Follow unit processes for supply use and accurate billing
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional communication standards
  • Participate in orientation, competency training, and the full residency curriculum

Qualifications

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • Graduate of an accredited pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • New graduate (entry-level); must enter the NRP within 12 months of graduation (exceptions considered for personal or military commitments)
  • Confidential client employees enrolled in an ADN program as of 3/30/2025 must sign an obligation agreement to complete an ADN-to-BSN program within two years of entering the Resident RN Clinician role (applies where noted)
  • ASN/ADN candidates who accepted an offer prior to 3/30/2025 may be subject to a similar obligation agreement
  • Valid, active, unencumbered nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board (state licensure required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required by specific departments after hire
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on clinical area or specialty

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Typical physical demands and environmental conditions for this role include:

  • Medium–heavy work: lifting up to 75 lbs; frequent lifting/carrying of 10–35 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking; occasional sitting
  • Close visual work (computer/charting/medication preparation)
  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, biohazardous waste, chemicals, communicable diseases, and radiation depending on assignment
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, as required
  • Shift work and potential travel depending on unit needs

Compensation & Schedule

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Pay: USD $42.00 per hour (as provided by source)
