Reserves Analyst
The Reserves Analyst at Confidential Client supports the corporate Reserves team by maintaining the Aries database, managing data requests, and automating processes. This entry-level role involves cross-department collaboration to track well activity and ownership, while developing expertise in oil and gas reserves analysis and related software tools.

What You’ll Do
- Assist in maintaining the Aries database: data entry, updates, and basic reconciliation under guidance from the Reserves team.
- Support the build-out and upkeep of queries and reports for well data, ownership interests, and development schedules using Excel, Access, SQL, and Databricks.
- Pull and organize production, technical, and ownership data from internal sources and public records for reserves analyses.
- Assist with quarterly SOX documentation: gather supporting materials and help organize files for process walkthroughs with auditors.
- Coordinate with Land, Accounting, Operations, Business Development and Asset Development to track well activity, ownership changes, and administrative items.
- Fulfill data requests from other departments and maintain organized recordkeeping.
- Use AI tools to help develop, refine, and automate routine processes.
- Perform other administrative and analytical duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 0–3 years relevant experience; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with databases and query tools such as Excel, Access, or SQL.
- Comfortable using AI to streamline and automate workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and organization; able to manage multiple data requests and deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn Aries and reserves-specific processes on the job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to oil & gas, corporate finance, or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with Aries, Databricks, and/or ComboCurve.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
Estimated Compensation
- Estimated: $53,031 per year (estimated figure provided by source).
