What You’ll Do

Our confidential client is hiring entry-level Research Technicians to support lab-based projects in the Scientific & QA sector. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career candidates seeking hands-on training in laboratory techniques and research support.

  • Support scientific research activities by preparing samples, media, reagents, and equipment.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and supplies.
  • Assist with basic molecular biology and biochemical assays after training (examples: PCR, Western blot, ELISA, immunofluorescence).
  • Process and culture tissue specimens and assist with cell-culture work where applicable.
  • Collect, log, and maintain accurate experimental data and laboratory records.
  • Follow established SOPs and safety protocols; maintain inventory and stock supplies.
  • Perform routine, supervised lab tasks and contribute to collaborative research workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Entry-level role — little to no direct experience required.
  • Relevant coursework or college-level science education (credits or degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related fields preferred).
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, maintain accurate records, and work under supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and basic computer literacy for data entry.
  • Willingness to learn laboratory techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, immunofluorescence, tissue processing, and cell culture.

Equivalency note: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (for example, a bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related experience).


Preferred (but not required)

  • Prior lab coursework or internship experience.
  • Familiarity with standard lab safety practices and PPE use.
  • Experience with basic lab equipment (centrifuges, pipettes, microscopes) and sample handling.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Expected pay range from the source posting: $9.45 to $21.69 (as listed by the confidential client).
  • This role is posted as FULL_TIME. Benefit details will be provided by the confidential client during the hiring process.

  • Location: Utah (UT), United States.
