What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated Research Technician II to support research focused on state-of-the-art multimodal imaging and complementary technologies for quantifying and targeting lymphatic structure and function. This role offers hands-on experience in a translational research environment and direct support of laboratory experiments, data collection, and general lab operations.
- Under general supervision, perform routine laboratory experiments involving multimodal imaging of the lymphatic system.
- Collect and compile research data using biomedical instrumentation; assist with analysis of multidimensional datasets using signal/image processing techniques.
- Assist with murine studies under IACUC-approved protocols (husbandry, monitoring, procedural support) under supervision.
- Collect and process tissue, blood, and biological samples for histology and downstream assays.
- Prepare reagents, media, and supplies; maintain inventory and assist with ordering.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; ensure cleanliness and proper operation.
- Support data acquisition, entry, and preliminary analysis (Matlab/Python, Office 365).
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and databases; support documentation and recordkeeping.
- Collaborate with postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and PIs; attend lab meetings and seminars.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum qualifications (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Basic lab skills (pipetting, centrifugation, microscopy) and strong attention to protocol and safety.
- Able to work on-site in a laboratory setting in South Tucson, AZ.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or related field.
- Previous research or lab experience (coursework, internships, or employment).
- Experience with BSL-2 laboratory safety practices.
- Familiarity with rodent models and aseptic technique.
- Experience in clinical or translational research.
- Working knowledge of Matlab or Python for data analysis, and familiarity with signal processing/statistics.
Compensation & Benefits
- Rate of pay: $16.50–$20.63 per hour.
- Compensation type: hourly.

- Non-exempt (eligible for overtime where applicable).
Work Schedule & Location
- Primary work location: South Tucson, AZ (on-site laboratory).
- Typical schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) — duties require on-site presence and participation in lab activities, animal care procedures under supervision, and scheduled lab meetings.
