Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a part-time (0.5 FTE) Research Services Laboratory Professional to support molecular biology and animal-model research in renal disease. This onsite role in Centennial, CO contributes to experiments involving DNA/RNA work, protein analysis, cell culture, histology/immunohistochemistry, ELISA, and management of transgenic/knockout mouse colonies.

Key Responsibilities

• DNA and RNA purification
• Genotyping
• Protein analyses
• Cell culture and aseptic technique
• Staining of cells and tissues; immunohistochemistry support
• Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA)
• Managing transgenic and knockout mouse colonies
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain clear experiment documentation
• Communicate results and collaborate with research staff to support project goals

Qualifications

Minimum — Entry Level

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field

Minimum — Intermediate Level

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field
• One (1) year of professional-level research experience
• A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis

Preferred

• Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field
• One (1) or more years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficient knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and safety practices
• Ability to interpret and follow complex research protocols
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
• Outstanding customer service and teamwork skills
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Compensation & Benefits

• Part-time (0.5 FTE) position
• Anticipated pay range:
  • Entry Level: $23,906 - $26,500 per year
  • Intermediate Level: $26,015 - $28,000 per year
