What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Research Project Assistant to support field experiments and day-to-day research operations. This role works closely with faculty, senior research staff, and external partners to translate study designs into functioning field operations, maintain compliance with IRB and university policies, and keep projects on schedule.

  • Support implementation of field experiments: planning, scheduling, monitoring activities across study sites; travel to field sites as needed
  • Coordinate with research staff, external partners, and vendors to execute protocols on time and accurately
  • Maintain study supplies and inventory; support logistics for site visits and participant interactions
  • Help prepare IRB documentation, compliance materials, reports, and presentations
  • Track project milestones, budgets, expense reconciliation, and deliverables
  • Assist with recruitment, scheduling, data collection, entry, and routine quality checks
  • Provide day-to-day support and mentoring for student RAs and junior staff
  • Identify and resolve routine operational issues; escalate complex problems to senior staff
  • Perform other duties related to research operations as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience in a related field (a four-year degree is not required)
  • 2–5 years of relevant work experience supporting research operations, field studies, or related roles
  • Ability to interact professionally with human participants and research partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Experience supporting field experiments, surveys, or data collection projects
  • Familiarity with statistical, survey, or data-management tools
  • Experience with IRB processes and working with human subjects

Skills & Tools

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with SAP/Concur, GEMS, or comparable finance/purchasing systems
  • Basic data-entry and data-quality practices; comfort supporting data collection and simple analysis

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Range (hourly): $21.79 - $28.21
  • Employment Type: Full time (non-exempt)
  • Typical Weekly Hours: 37.5
  • Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Environment & Travel

  • Work primarily in a research setting with frequent coordination among faculty, staff, and external partners
  • Position may require travel to field sites and in-person interaction with study participants
  • This is an individual contributor role that supports a broader research team
