What You’ll Do
This onsite Research Lab Technician I supports neurology research by maintaining lab operations, preparing samples, running experiments, and supporting data collection and reporting.
- Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols and SOPs.
- Prepare, label, and handle samples, reagents, and solutions with strict adherence to safety and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Record experimental observations and results accurately in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Compile and analyze data using appropriate statistical and scientific software; assist with interpretation and presentation of findings.
- Maintain organized records of procedures, protocols, inventory, and equipment logs.
- Follow biosafety, chemical safety, and other institutional safety policies at all times.
- Collaborate with research staff to support study timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required (candidates completing degrees may have a limited grace period as noted by our client).
- 1–2 years of prior laboratory experience preferred (academic labs, internships, or prior employment).
- Strong knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and common research instruments.
- Practical experience with sample handling, pipetting, solution preparation, and routine lab maintenance.
- Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools; basic statistical competency.
- Excellent attention to detail, record-keeping, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot routine technical issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting methods and communicating results.
Additional Details
- Work location: Onsite — 60 Fenwood Road, Boston, MA (Confidential Client research facility).
- Employment type: Full time; scheduled weekly hours: 40; Day shift.
- Pay range: $21.00 - $29.01 per hour (posted range; actual offer will consider experience, education, and other relevant factors).
- Employee type: Regular
