What You’ll Do

This role supports a grant-funded PROMOTE research project in the Division of Community Health Sciences focused on harm reduction among people who use drugs in rural Illinois. Responsibilities include:

• Data coding, cleaning, and documentation for the PROMOTE dataset
• Conducting data analysis to support project aims
• Assisting with preparation of technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts
• Supporting reproducible workflows and maintaining clear analysis files
• Participating in team meetings and performing other duties related to the project as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field
• Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices, and procedures
• Entry-level knowledge of research methods and data management
• Intermediate knowledge of statistics
• Intermediate proficiency with Stata or SAS

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in public health, community psychology, social work, or other applied health science with research-methods training or experience
• Experience working on community-based or harm-reduction research projects
• Strong written communication skills for report and manuscript support
