What You’ll Do
This role supports a grant-funded PROMOTE research project in the Division of Community Health Sciences focused on harm reduction among people who use drugs in rural Illinois. Responsibilities include:
- Data coding, cleaning, and documentation for the PROMOTE dataset
- Conducting data analysis to support project aims
- Assisting with preparation of technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts
- Supporting reproducible workflows and maintaining clear analysis files
- Participating in team meetings and performing other duties related to the project as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field
- Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices, and procedures
- Entry-level knowledge of research methods and data management
- Intermediate knowledge of statistics
- Intermediate proficiency with Stata or SAS
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health, community psychology, social work, or other applied health science with research-methods training or experience
- Experience working on community-based or harm-reduction research projects
- Strong written communication skills for report and manuscript support
