What You’ll Do
This entry-level Research Associate I will support early‑phase assay development within the PHCS group and help transfer validated assays to CAP/CLIA labs for clinical use. You will perform laboratory experimentation, document results, and assist with basic computational biology tasks to support project timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experiments to support project goals.
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments with appropriate technical judgement.
- Prepare technical reports, protocols, summaries, and quantitative analyses.
- Present and discuss experimental results with team members and project leads.
- Maintain complete, accurate laboratory notebooks and electronic records.
- Follow regulatory and quality requirements, including GMP, GLP, and Design Control processes.
- Act as principal investigator for assigned experiments when required.
- Assist teammates with basic computational biology tasks — running scripts and reading code to distribute workload.
- Stay current with relevant scientific literature and participate in professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).
- 0–2 years of laboratory or industry experience (entry-level candidates encouraged).
- Demonstrated customer-facing experience (e.g., retail, restaurant, service) or other roles showing strong interpersonal and client-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Comfortable following SOPs and regulatory procedures (GMP/GLP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computational biology familiarity: ability to run scripts and read simple code.
- Experience or coursework in molecular assay techniques, assay development, or clinical assay transfer (CAP/CLIA).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for scientific reporting and team collaboration.
