What You’ll Do
This role supports a confidential client’s research team in identifying family relationships, verifying mortality, and reconciling records. Responsibilities include:
- Review obituaries, death notices, and public records to identify potential family relationships and heirs.
- Research and verify mortality status using multiple data sources.
- Analyze information from traditional and non-traditional resources to establish family connections.
- Investigate and reconcile conflicting information through careful research and critical thinking.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy while managing a fast-paced workload.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate results for clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Expectations
This is a production-focused research position requiring both speed and accuracy. Team members are expected to efficiently review and analyze a high volume of records, meet daily productivity goals, and maintain quality standards.
Work Location & Schedule
- Hybrid role — must live near or be able to commute to the Fort Washington, MD office one day per week (Wednesdays).
- This role is full-time.
Compensation
- Base pay range: $20.50 - $25.50 per hour. Actual pay is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
