What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Software Developers and Data Scientists for full-time, remote-capable roles. You will work on real product and data problems, collaborating with engineering and analytics teams to design, build, and validate solutions.

• Write, test, and maintain code in Python, Java, or both
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL tasks (SQL, Spark or equivalent)
• Clean, transform, and validate data for analysis and model building
• Build and maintain APIs, backend services, or full-stack components depending on team assignment
• Implement unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews
• Translate business questions into technical requirements; deliver clear visualizations and reports
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to deployment and monitoring practices
• Participate in technical assessments and continuous-learning programs to level up skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or equivalent experience
• Practical knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Programming experience in Python or Java (class projects, internships, bootcamps, or professional)
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic software engineering practices
• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
• Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred (nice-to-have)

• Experience with Spark, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), or containerization (Docker)
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, matplotlib, seaborn)
• Coursework or projects in machine learning, statistics, or data engineering
• Internship or project portfolio demonstrating applied coding or data work
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Compensation & Employment Type

• Employment type: Full-time
• Salary range: $82,000 - $145,000 per year (base salary)
• Remote-first role with engineering/product teams based in Boston, MA; specific team/timezone expectations will be provided during interview stages
