What You’ll Do
The Relationship Manager (Business Banker) will develop and manage commercial banking relationships for a confidential client in the Banking & Financial Services industry. This is an entry-level relationship management role with opportunities to work alongside credit officers and product specialists to originate loans, grow deposits, and deliver best-in-class client service.
- Develop new deposit and loan relationships; grow existing portfolio through proactive outreach and cross-selling of loans, deposits, treasury, and partner products
- Originate and structure commercial credits within delegated guidelines; prepare and present credit recommendations and documentation
- Monitor customer financials and business performance; analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows to assess creditworthiness and repayment sources
- Coordinate with credit officers and leadership to facilitate credit approvals and renewals
- Manage account servicing, collections follow-up, and resolution of client issues to minimize credit and operational risk
- Build relationships with centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys, brokers, real estate agents) to generate new business opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of bank products, pricing, market trends, and regulatory requirements (BSA/AML/OFAC)
- Support other RMs or market leadership as needed — collecting financials, preparing documentation, and serving as a second point of contact for clients
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered
- Minimum ~2 years of banking experience with exposure to lending, credit, and/or deposits preferred
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and perform basic credit assessments
- Strong sales orientation with customer-service skills and the ability to cross-sell products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels
- Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage time effectively
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to escalate/resolve issues appropriately
- Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures
