What You’ll Do

Under supervision, the Registered Respiratory Therapist will apply specialized respiratory care knowledge to assess and recommend cardiopulmonary interventions and therapies. Core responsibilities include:

• Provide bedside respiratory assessment and initiate appropriate therapies (medical gas, humidity, aerosol, hyperinflation, bronchial hygiene)
• Manage invasive and non‑invasive mechanical ventilation, including ventilator changes, weaning, and monitoring
• Respond to respiratory and cardiopulmonary emergencies and participate in resuscitation teams as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document treatments, progress, and clinical findings in the medical record in compliance with facility policy
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure infection‑control practices
• Participate in education for patients, families, and staff; escalate clinical concerns appropriately

Qualifications

Required

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care from a COARC‑accredited program
• Active Maryland state respiratory therapy license (Maryland licensure required for this role)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship (candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered)

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care (COARC) preferred
• ACLS preferred
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

All credentials must be maintained in active status.

Compensation & Work Details

• Hourly pay range: $34.62 — $57.19 per hour (compensation commensurate with experience and equity)
• The Hospital/facility may modify employee schedules as operational needs require
• Entry‑level to advanced roles will be considered depending on documented clinical competency
