Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Urology to deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a hospital/urology clinical setting. The RN provides direct patient care per established policies, physician orders, and departmental procedures. This is a full-time, entry-level RN role appropriate for new graduate RNs or RNs with under one year of experience who hold current state licensure and BLS certification.
What You’ll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to urology patients and families in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Perform accurate clinical assessments and document findings per department standards.
- Delegate and manage patient assignments effectively based on patient acuity and team skills.
- Educate patients and families; create and document comprehensive teaching plans.
- Develop and execute discharge plans and coordinate appropriate community referrals.
- Integrate evidence-based practice and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Support orientation and transition of new staff; participate in professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN license (or licensure appropriate to the posting location).
- 0 – Less than 12 months of RN experience (entry-level).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Department-specific certifications may be required depending on the unit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Skills & Abilities
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Knowledgeable in and able to apply the nursing process.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage time in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of 30–35 lbs and patient turning.
- Prolonged standing and walking; occasional bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and certain chemicals.
- Visual and auditory acuity and fine manual dexterity required for patient care tasks.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $34.79 - $43.49 per hour (base pay range reflects minimum qualifications).
