What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (Surgical Clinic — Intermittent) to deliver high-quality ambulatory and specialty clinic care. In this role you will assess, triage, educate, and coordinate care for surgical and specialty clinic patients while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide clinical assessment, triage and treatment in a surgical/specialty clinic setting
- Perform pre- and post-operative patient teaching and wound assessment
- Administer treatments and medications per scope of practice and clinic protocols
- Coordinate patient care across services (referrals, imaging, specialty consults)
- Document patient encounters, assessments, and care plans accurately in the medical record
- Support quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and clinic workflow efficiency
- Work independently during intermittent shifts and communicate effectively with providers and support staff
Qualifications
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN licensure in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia (or eligible for Graduate Nurse Technician temporary appointment while pursuing licensure)
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accreditation where applicable) or equivalent credentialing for foreign-educated nurses with formal degree equivalency validation
- Strong triage, patient education, care coordination, and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
- Physically able to perform job duties; successful completion of a pre-placement exam required
- English language proficiency as required for safe clinical practice (per applicable federal/state rules)
Preferred Experience
- Ambulatory care, perioperative, surgical clinic, orthopedic, wound care, urology, vascular, or ENT nursing experience
- Proven ability to manage complex patient needs in an outpatient surgical setting
- Experience with patient education, care coordination, and evidence-based practice initiatives
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary range: $79,146 - $140,772 per year (confidential client pay scale)
- Employment type: Contractor / Full-time opportunities; intermittent scheduling (flexible shifts)
- Exact pay and appointment type will be confirmed during the hiring process and comply with applicable state pay-transparency rules
