What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiac Short‑Stay/Med‑Surg role. This is an entry-level / new‑graduate‑friendly RN position focused on safe, patient‑centered care in a short‑stay cardiac setting.

  • Provide direct nursing care for patients with medical and surgical cardiac needs.
  • Collect vital signs, perform focused assessments, and recognize changes in condition.
  • Administer IV and other medications safely and document per policy.
  • Implement and update individualized patient care plans to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team (physicians, therapists, techs) to coordinate care and transitions.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and follow all clinical policies and state practice standards.
  • Complete charting, medication administration records, and other clinical documentation accurately.
  • Participate in unit‑based education, skill development, and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse licensure (current state RN license or RN applicant status).
  • Comfortable working with cardiac and med‑surg patient populations.
  • Strong clinical assessment, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in a fast‑paced short‑stay environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association required prior to direct patient care (preferred upon hire if not currently held).

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
  • Current state RN licensure (or eligible applicant).
  • BLS (must obtain prior to direct patient care if not already held).
