Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Multi-Specialty Oncology / Med-Surg unit in Midlothian, VA. This is an entry-level / new-grad friendly role focused on delivering safe, patient-centered care across medical and surgical oncology patients. What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for patients with medical and surgical oncology needs.
- Assess patient condition, collect vital signs, and document clinical findings accurately.
- Safely administer IV and other medications per state scope of practice and facility policy.
- Implement and update individualized plans of care to support expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team (physicians, therapists, pharmacists, social work).
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and follow infection-control and safety protocols.
- Participate in unit-based learning, orientation, and professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support patient flow and quality objectives.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the hiring state, or RN applicant status acceptable at time of hire.
- New graduates are welcome; clinical rotations or relevant practicum experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication with patients, families, and care teams.
- Ability to handle multiple clinical priorities in a fast-paced acute-care setting.
- Comfortable learning and delivering medication administration, IV care, and standard med-surg procedures.
Required Licensing & Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or RN applicant status.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association (preferred upon hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care).
- Any additional certifications required by state or facility policy must be obtained as directed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range (as listed by the employer): $30.51 — $48.80 per hour.
- Position type: Full-time.
