Position overview

Confidential Client (Healthcare & Nursing) is seeking a New Grad / entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiac Short‑Stay (Telemetry) unit in Cincinnati, OH. This role delivers high-quality med-surg nursing care, supports patient recovery through evidence-based interventions and care planning, and works closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct patient care for medical/surgical and cardiac short‑stay patients on a telemetry unit.
  • Assess patient status, collect vital signs, and monitor telemetry rhythms.
  • Administer IV medications and other therapies safely and per policy.
  • Complete accurate charting and update care plans to reflect patient progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate care.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and follow infection‑control and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support unit operations and patient outcomes.

Essential functions

  • Triage and prioritize patient needs using sound clinical judgment.
  • Implement nursing interventions and treatment plans.
  • Evaluate and revise plans of care to meet patient goals.
  • Provide patient and family education related to cardiac conditions, procedures, and discharge planning.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) OR RN applicant eligible for licensure.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • New graduate candidates with strong clinical training and reliable foundational skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Comfort working in a telemetry/acute care environment and administering IV medications.

Required licensing & certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio (or RN applicant status).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association (preferred upon hire; must be obtained prior to direct patient care if not already held).

Schedule & location

  • Scheduled weekly hours: 24 hours per week.
  • Work shift: Days.
  • Department: Telemetry - B3 - Anderson.
  • Location: Cincinnati, OH (on-site).
