What You’ll Do

Registered Nurse - Primary Care RN in Milwaukee, WI — provide high-quality primary care nursing services to patients in an outpatient/primary care setting. You will triage, assess, treat and educate patients; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; document care in the health record; and follow clinical protocols and safety standards.

• Perform patient assessments, triage and care planning for primary care visits
• Manage chronic disease follow-up and preventive care (immunizations, screening, education)
• Provide patient education and self-care coaching
• Administer medications, perform point-of-care testing and basic procedures per scope
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up with specialty services and community resources
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants and other team members
• Maintain compliance with licensure, regulatory and facility policies

What You’ll Need

This role requires meeting professional nursing licensure and education standards and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Current, full, active, unrestricted RN registration/license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia (required)
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accreditation at time of program completion), OR equivalent foreign nursing education with an accepted degree equivalency validation where applicable
• English language proficiency required for direct patient care
• Candidates completing an approved master’s-level bridge program with equivalent coursework may qualify for temporary appointment while completing license requirements (Graduate Nurse Technician / temporary licensure exceptions per applicable policy)
• Ability to meet physical requirements of nursing practice (standing/walking for extended periods, moderate lifting, bending, safe patient handling)

Grade/level will be assigned based on education, documented experience, and scope-of-practice requirements. Candidates will be evaluated against scope, practice, leadership, professional development, and evidence-based practice criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN preferred
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in Emergency Department, Med/Surg, triage, and/or Primary Care
• Experience with chronic disease management and patient education

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary range: $75,678 - $131,846 per year (as provided by the client)
• Employment Type: Full time, Contract
• Schedule: Typical primary care hours; specific shift and FTE to be confirmed with the hiring manager
