What You’ll Do
This role is for a Registered Nurse (Primary Care) supporting outpatient primary care services in Nashville, TN. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, and support continuous improvements in clinical practice and patient experience.
- Provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in an outpatient/primary care setting
- Triage patients, perform assessments, administer medications and treatments per protocol
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, prevention and follow-up care
- Coordinate care with providers, specialists and support services to ensure continuity
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in the medical record accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development activities
- Support clinic operations, including clinic flow, patient safety and infection control practices
What You’ll Need
Minimum qualifications and eligibility requirements (drawn from the posted qualification standard):
- English language proficiency for safe, effective patient care
- Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) OR equivalent credentialing for graduates of foreign nursing programs (degree equivalency validation required)
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception may apply for candidates actively pursuing licensure (temporary appointment rules can apply)
- Ability to meet grade/level criteria that may include combinations of education and professional nursing experience:
- Nurse I (Level I–III): ADN/Diploma or BSN plus progressive experience depending on level
- Nurse II / Nurse III: BSN/MSN/MSN-equivalent and defined years of specialized nursing experience as required
- Ability to perform clinical judgment and maintain professional practice standards in primary care
- Willingness to complete any required online assessments or job-specific questionnaires referenced in the qualification standard

Compensation & Employment Type
- Salary range: $81,958 - $141,398 per year (listed by the hiring organization)
- Employment type: Contractor; Full time
- Location: Nashville, TN (onsite, outpatient primary care)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This position includes routine physical demands typical of outpatient nursing and direct patient care:
- Frequent standing and walking (up to 8 hours per shift)
- Regular bending, lifting (up to 30 pounds or more), pushing medication carts, wheelchairs, litters and beds
- Use of both hands and legs for clinical tasks
- Near and distance vision requirements sufficient to assess patients and monitor equipment
- Hearing (hearing aid permitted) to respond to alarms and patient needs
- Emotional stability to manage patients with a range of medical and psychiatric conditions, including those who may be unpredictable or aggressive
