What You’ll Do
This Registered Nurse role supports a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) delivering high-quality, veteran‑focused care. You will:
- Provide safe, evidence‑based nursing care and health education across routine and complex patient presentations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary PACT members to coordinate treatment plans and follow-up
- Conduct thorough assessments, triage patients appropriately, and escalate per clinic protocols
- Document care, clinical decisions, and patient communications in the medical record accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement, professional development, and evidence‑based practice activities
Who We’re Looking For
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- English language proficiency consistent with federal requirements (38 U.S.C. 7403(f))
- Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by an accepted body (ACEN or CCNE) OR equivalent foreign education with accepted degree equivalency
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse (RN) in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception may apply for eligible candidates actively pursuing licensure (temporary appointment up to 120 days; may be extended as allowed)
- Ability to meet grade/level dimension requirements for Practice, Veteran/Patient Driven Care, Leadership, Professional Development, and Evidence‑Based Practice/Research (see online assessment link in the original posting)
Preferred experience:
- Acute care, Emergency Room (ER)/Emergency Department (ED), and/or Urgent Care clinical experience
Education & Grade Guidance
Grade and level guidance (used to determine appointment grade):
- Nurse I, Level I: ADN or Diploma in Nursing
- Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized nursing experience OR BSN (no experience)
- Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma + 2 years (one year equivalent to Level II) OR BSN + 1 year equivalent experience OR MSN (no experience)
- Nurse II: BSN + 2 years equivalent to Nurse I Level III OR MSN + 1 year equivalent OR Doctoral degree (per standard)
- Nurse III: MSN + 2 years specialized experience (one year equivalent to Nurse II) OR doctoral degree options with required experience and dimension criteria

Compensation & Schedule
- Salary range (provided by client): $85,305 — $145,918 per year
- Employment type: Contract, Full time
- Final compensation and grade depend on qualifications, experience, and grade/level determination
Location & Licensing
- Location: White City, OR
- Candidates must hold or be eligible for RN registration consistent with Oregon state requirements. Licensure and credential verification will be required prior to start.
