What You’ll Do
This intermittent/float Registered Nurse (RN) role supports primary care teams (PACT) on an as-needed basis. You will deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care, support continuity across primary care settings, and step in where clinical staffing needs arise.
- Provide direct nursing care and clinical assessments in primary care settings
- Support care coordination, triage, and follow-up for assigned patients
- Work across multiple units or clinics as a float RN based on operational needs
- Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and care teams
- Maintain accurate documentation consistent with clinical and regulatory standards
Qualifications (Required)
Candidates must meet the basic statutory and professional requirements below:
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe, effective care
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE) OR equivalent education for foreign graduates with required validation
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration/license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Meet the grade/level education and experience criteria described in the qualification standard; applicable levels include Nurse I (Levels I–III), Nurse II, and Nurse III (details below)
- Physically able to perform duties; pre-placement physical examination required
Grade/level education and experience highlights (reference the qualification standard for full detail):
- Nurse I, Level I — ADN or Diploma in Nursing
- Nurse I, Level II — ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN
- Nurse I, Level III — ADN/Diploma + 2 years (with level 2 experience) OR BSN + 1 year OR MSN
- Nurse II — BSN + 2 years equivalent to Nurse I, Level III OR MSN + experience
- Nurse III — MSN/Doctoral plus required specialized experience and leadership dimensions
Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception:
- Candidates who meet educational requirements but lack licensure may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure (120-day initial appointment; extensions considered up to two years in limited cases).

Preferred / Helpful
- Prior experience in primary care or PACT settings (preferred)
- BSN preferred for higher-level placements, where noted

Employment Details
- Employment type: Full-time or Contractor (intermittent/float schedule)
- Location: Bangor, ME (must hold appropriate state RN license or meet licensure requirements)
- Salary range: $79,904 — $139,497 per year (confidential client)
