Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse — Outpatient Staff (Specialty Care) to support outpatient specialty clinic services in Philadelphia, PA. This is a full-time, contract position with a competitive salary range of $80,848 - $154,831 per year. The role requires professional nursing licensure and delivers patient-focused care in outpatient specialty settings.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in outpatient specialty clinics (examples: Gastrointestinal, Endocrine).
- Triage, assess, plan and implement nursing interventions appropriate to specialty outpatient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care and follow-up.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement, professional development, and evidence-based practice activities.
- Float to other outpatient specialty clinic settings as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, professional nursing care consistent with scope of practice and clinic protocols.
- Perform patient education, medication administration, wound care, and other clinical procedures as required by the clinic.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition; escalate to providers when appropriate.
- Support clinic workflows, including patient intake, triage, discharge planning, and referrals.
- Maintain current licensure and comply with state and facility regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration/license as a Registered Nurse in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. (Candidates must meet state licensure requirements for practice in Pennsylvania.)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN, or higher). Accreditation examples: ACEN or CCNE.
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe, effective written and spoken communication.
- Ability to perform duties described in the applicable nursing qualification standard and meet any grade/level scope, education, and dimension requirements.
Notes on appointment options:
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception may allow temporary appointment while pursuing licensure (120-day initial appointment; extensions considered case-by-case).
- Applicants with foreign nursing education may require degree equivalency validation where applicable.
Preferred Experience
- Prior outpatient specialty clinic experience (for example, Gastrointestinal or Endocrine clinics).
- Demonstrated ability to float across outpatient specialty settings.
- BSN or advanced degree and evidence of relevant clinical or specialty experience as described in qualification standards.

- Salary range: $80,848 — $154,831 per year (Confidential Client).
