What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse - Outpatient to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient clinical setting in Detroit, MI. You will triage, assess, treat, and educate patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

• Provide direct clinical care and patient assessment in an outpatient environment
• Triage and prioritize patient needs; escalate complex cases appropriately
• Administer medications, wound care, injections, and treatments per protocols
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and follow-up
• Maintain timely, accurate electronic medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (or eligible per state rules)
• Graduate of a nursing program accredited by an appropriate accrediting body (ACEN or CCNE) — ADN, Diploma, BSN, or higher
• English language proficiency sufficient for safe, effective patient care
• Experience in outpatient clinical care, triage, or related nursing practice preferred
• Candidates in bridge programs (e.g., master’s-level bridge) who meet state licensure pathways may be considered per program rules
• Foreign-educated nurses: degree equivalency evaluation (e.g., ICD) may be required for credentials above associate level
• Level/grade placement may be determined by education and documented clinical experience

Preferred (if applicable):

• BSN and clinical nursing experience in outpatient or ambulatory care
• Experience with electronic health records and patient education programs
• Training or experience with Safe Patient Handling & Mobility (SPHM) practices

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Duties include walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, and pulling during standard clinical shifts
• May include moderate lifting/carrying (up to 35 pounds) following SPHM guidelines
• Requires adequate vision and hearing to perform assigned duties safely; use of corrective devices or hearing aids is permitted

• Location: Detroit, MI
• Employment type: Contract / Full time (as posted by Confidential Client)
• Salary range (provided): $81,479 - $139,574 per year
• Role may require completion of job-specific questionnaires or assessments used for grade/level determinations
