Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (Outpatient Specialty Care) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient specialty clinic in Atlanta, GA. This role supports specialty clinics by providing assessments, treatments, patient education, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to clinical policies and safe patient handling protocols.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient specialty setting
• Perform assessments, triage, vital signs, wound care, and administer medications per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health staff to coordinate care
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Follow infection control, safety, and safe patient handling procedures
• Participate in quality improvement, case review, and staff education as needed

Qualifications

Minimum requirements (must meet before appointment):

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation at time of completion) or equivalent for foreign-educated applicants with accepted equivalency validation
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia — ability to obtain Georgia licensure if not already licensed in GA
• Proficiency in basic written and spoken English in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f)
• Ability to meet any grade/level education and experience criteria required by the role (see examples below)
• Candidates who meet education requirements but not licensure may be considered under a temporary Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) appointment while actively pursuing licensure (per policy)

Grade/level examples (for hiring reference):

• Nurse I, Level I — ADN/Diploma in Nursing (entry-level)
• Nurse I, Level II — ADN/Diploma + 1 year of specialized nursing experience, or BSN (no additional experience)
• Nurse I, Level III — ADN/Diploma + 2 years (one as Level II), or BSN + 1 year, or MSN with no experience
• Nurse II / Nurse III — advanced degrees plus required years of specialized experience as defined by the qualification standard

Preferred:

• At least 1 year of medical specialty or medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience with outpatient workflows and ambulatory care practices

Employment Details & Compensation

• Employment type: Full-time; Contractor classification may apply depending on hire arrangement
• Location: Atlanta, GA (on-site outpatient clinic)
• Salary range: $91,113 - $160,118 per year (range provided by Confidential Client)
• This role requires on-site presence in an outpatient specialty clinic and adherence to Clinical and organizational policies

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Typical duties include direct patient care with periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and occasional moderate lifting
• Frequent use of safe patient handling and mobility protocols is required
• Work may involve variable schedules and exposure to infectious agents consistent with nursing practice in outpatient settings
