Position overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (Operating Room) to join their perioperative team in West Roxbury, MA. This is a contract, full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $109,127–$196,158 per year. The role supports surgical services and requires current RN licensure and relevant perioperative education/experience.

What You’ll Do

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room.
• Participate in pre-operative assessment and intra-operative nursing activities.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established protocols and infection control standards.
• Support quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE) or equivalent recognized credential.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration/license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. (Graduate Nurse Technician exception may apply for temporary appointment.)
• Physical ability to safely perform duties required in an operating room environment.
• English language proficiency sufficient for safe patient care and documentation.

Grade / Experience Guidelines

• Nurse I (Level I–III), Nurse II and Nurse III levels may be considered depending on education and years of professional/specialized experience:
  • ADN/diploma with no additional experience — entry-level Nurse I, Level I
  • ADN/diploma + 1 year specialized OR BSN — Nurse I, Level II
  • ADN/diploma + 2 years (with required progression) OR BSN + experience OR MSN — Nurse I, Level III / Nurse II
  • Advanced degrees (MSN/Doctoral) and supervisory or specialized experience may qualify for Nurse II/III level placement
• Exact grade/level will be determined per qualification standards and dimensions of practice.

Required / Preferred Credentials

• Required: Current RN license (state).
• Preferred: BSN, perioperative nursing certification (CNOR) or related advanced training.
• International graduates: Degree equivalency and valid U.S. RN registration required (e.g., evaluation by a recognized equivalency service where applicable).

Compensation & Employment Type

• Pay range: $109,127 — $196,158 per year (confidential client; reported by source).
• Employment type: Contract, Full time.
• Pay and final offer will reflect experience, grade level, and applicable state and federal rules.

Location & Work Conditions

• Worksite: On-site in West Roxbury, MA.
• This role requires the ability to perform clinically and physically in a surgical environment (standing, lifting, use of PPE).
