What You’ll Do

Join Confidential Client’s perioperative team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room. Under general supervision you’ll deliver professional nursing care to surgical patients across the perioperative continuum — preparing patients for surgery, supporting the surgical team intraoperatively, monitoring recovery in the post-anesthesia period, and documenting care according to established policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room and Post-Anesthesia areas
• Prepare patients and the OR environment for scheduled and emergency procedures
• Assist surgeons and other team members during operative cases, including instrument/sterile field support as needed
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, anesthesia effects and recovery progress
• Follow clinical protocols, infection-control standards, and Confidential Client policies and procedures
• Complete required competencies within the designated introductory period and participate in ongoing professional development
• Support teamwork, patient advocacy and high-quality patient outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas Registered Nurse license OR eligibility for state board certification at hire
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required at hire (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• No prior RN experience required (orientation and competency program provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Completion of a peri-anesthesia, perioperative, or critical-care internship/training program
• Board eligible/certified: CNOR (Surgery), CPAN (Post-Anesthesia), or SGNA (GI Lab)

Required Courses / Timeframes

• BLS — required at hire
• ACLS — required for Surgery Services; must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer into unit
• PALS — required for Post-Anesthesia; must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer into unit

Compensation

• Estimated pay: $50,146 per year (estimated)
• This role may qualify for a sign-on bonus (per Confidential Client policies)
