What You’ll Do
Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a medical/surgical unit. Using evidence-based practices, you will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care.
- Deliver direct patient care and monitor patient status
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Coordinate with providers, ancillary services, and family members
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Escalate changes in condition and support continuity of care
- Contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives
Who We’re Looking For — Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet applicable licensure, education and competency requirements for direct patient care:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN). Degree-level and experience determine grade/level placement.
- Proficiency in basic written and spoken English sufficient for safe direct patient care
- Ability to perform the physical and mental duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- If hired prior to licensure completion, some clients permit temporary hire as a Graduate Nurse Technician while licensure is pursued (follow confidential client's policy)
Grade/level examples (used for internal classification; final assignment depends on education + experience):
- Entry-level (Nurse I, Level I): ADN/Diploma and foundational clinical competency
- Nurse I, Level II–III: ADN with experience or BSN with varying experience requirements
- Nurse II / III: BSN/MSN and progressive specialized experience or advanced degrees as appropriate
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Prior Med/Surg nursing experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization and time-management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- Basic life support (BLS) required; advanced certifications (ACLS, ACLS/PALS) preferred where applicable
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $72,284 — $133,845 per year (provided by confidential client). Actual pay will depend on experience, grade/level, and applicable state or client policy.

Location, Schedule & Logistics
- Primary worksite: Wichita, KS (on-site). See authoritative location: Wichita, Kansas (KS), US.
- Schedule: Full-time shifts as defined by the confidential client (rotating shifts may apply for Med/Surg units).
- This position requires eligibility to work in the United States and ability to meet any site-specific onboarding requirements (background checks, vaccination or testing policies, drug screening) as required by the confidential client and applicable law.
