Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (Inpatient/Med‑Surg, Intermittent) to provide high-quality, direct patient care on medical‑surgical inpatient units in Portland, OR. This listing is for an intermittent/contract position with opportunities for conversion depending on local needs and performance.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care to adult medical‑surgical patients.
• Perform assessments, implement nursing plans, administer medications, and document care in the medical record.
• Monitor patient condition, escalate changes in status, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Support patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Participate in unit‑level quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• English language proficiency sufficient for safe, accurate written and spoken communication.
• Graduate of a nursing program accredited by an appropriate accrediting body (e.g., ACEN or CCNE) or equivalent credentialing pathway accepted by the hiring authority.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse (RN) in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia, or otherwise meet applicable state licensure exceptions where allowed.
• Candidates who meet education requirements but lack licensure may be eligible for a temporary Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) appointment while actively pursuing licensure (per local policy and state rules). Time-limited extensions may be considered according to program rules.
• Ability to meet assignment‑level scope and competency expectations (practice, patient‑driven care, leadership, professional development, evidence‑based practice).

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years prior Med/Surg nursing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care on medical‑surgical units.

Employment Details

• Location: Portland, OR (onsite).
• Employment type: Contract (intermittent); posting includes FULL_TIME and CONTRACTOR classifications and may include conversion opportunities per client policy.
• Salary: $96,237 - $161,801 per year (posted range).
• Start: As scheduled per unit staffing needs; shifts and schedules will be set by the client.
