What You’ll Do

This Registered Nurse (RN) role will provide direct patient care and contribute to high-quality, evidence-based nursing practice for our confidential client. Typical duties include:

  • Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care and clinical assessment
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans and document care accurately
  • Administer medications and treatments according to protocols and scope of practice
  • Monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning
  • Support quality improvement, clinical documentation, and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, and less-experienced staff
  • Participate in professional development and maintain required licensure and certifications

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications and requirements (follow grading/level rules as applicable):

  • English language proficiency required
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration/license in a U.S. state, territory, or District of Columbia (California RN license required for practice in CA)
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation where applicable)
  • Education pathways accepted:
    • Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing — eligible for Nurse I entry levels
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — may qualify for higher Nurse I/II levels depending on experience
    • Master's or Doctoral degrees in Nursing or related fields may qualify for advanced Nurse II/III levels
  • Experience requirements vary by grade and level; examples:
    • Nurse I, Level I — ADN or Diploma, entry-level responsibilities
    • Nurse I, Level II — ADN + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN (no additional experience)
    • Nurse II/III — BSN/MSN + required years of specialized experience as outlined in the assessment criteria
  • Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: candidates who meet education requirements but lack RN licensure may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure (see client policy for time limits and extensions)
  • Foreign-educated nurses: current, full, active, and unrestricted registration or formal degree equivalency accepted by the client (e.g., recognized evaluation such as ICD) is required
  • Candidates must meet the dimension requirements for practice, leadership, professional development, and evidence-based practice as defined by the client’s qualification standards (see referenced qualification standard link)

Preferred / Desirable

  • BSN or higher degree preferred for roles requiring advanced clinical judgment or leadership
  • Prior specialty experience at levels described in the grade determinations
  • Demonstrated ability in clinical leadership, patient-centered care, and quality improvement

Compensation & Employment Type

  • Salary range (as posted): $111,502 - $190,737 per year
  • Employment type: Contract; Full time
  • Pay and benefits follow the confidential client’s policies. Employment is contingent on verification of credentials and licensure.

Location & Work Conditions

  • Job location: Los Angeles, CA (on-site in the state of California)
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and hold required California licensure to practice as an RN in this role.
