Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (Long Term Care) to join their team in Bath, NY. This role supports long-term care services and may be eligible for recruitment/relocation incentives. Employment type: Full-time / Contractor. Compensation: $78,551 - $137,790 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care for long-term care residents.
- Deliver assessments, care planning, medication administration, and documentation consistent with state nursing practice and facility policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate Veteran/patient-driven care and transition planning.
- Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice initiatives, and professional development activities.
- Demonstrate leadership appropriate to grade/level, including mentoring and supporting less-experienced staff when applicable.
- Maintain professional licensure and comply with applicable federal and state regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe, effective communication in direct patient care.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
- Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by an accepted accrediting body (e.g., ACEN or CCNE) — OR equivalent foreign education with recognized degree equivalency documentation where applicable.
- Candidates in a master’s-level bridge program who have completed coursework equivalent to a BSN may qualify for temporary appointment pending state licensure.
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) Exception: candidates meeting education requirements but not yet licensed may be appointed on a temporary basis while actively pursuing licensure (initial 120-day appointment; extensions considered case-by-case).
- Physical ability to perform required duties per applicable VA/Confidential Client handbook and directives.
Grade / Level Guidance (scope summary)
Note: final grade/level is determined by scope, education, experience and demonstrated competencies.
- Nurse I, Level I — ADN/Diploma; entry-level responsibilities.
- Nurse I, Level II — ADN/Diploma + ~1 year specialized experience OR BSN entry-level.
- Nurse I, Level III — ADN/Diploma + ~2 years professional experience (including 1 year equivalent to Level II) OR BSN + 1 year professional experience OR MSN.
- Nurse II — BSN + 2 years professional nursing (or MSN with appropriate experience); demonstrates leadership and program improvement contributions.
- Nurse III — MSN/Doctoral-level with progressive leadership and specialized experience; provides system-level care coordination and innovation.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $78,551 - $137,790 per year (listed by Confidential Client).
