What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse to support outpatient primary care (PACT) services on an intermittent basis. In this role you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across the ambulatory care continuum with a focus on veteran/patient-driven care, safety, and evidence-based practice.
- Provide direct patient care, assessments and screenings in an outpatient primary care setting
- Triage patient calls and coordinate timely follow-up
- Manage chronic disease care and participate in preventive care activities (immunizations, health maintenance)
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with primary care providers and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on self-care, medications and care plans
- Support quality improvement, professional development and evidence-based practice initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum / basic requirements (applicants must meet one of the education/licensure pathways below):
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe, effective patient care
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accreditation at time of completion), OR
- Individuals in master’s-level bridge programs who have completed coursework equivalent to a bachelor’s degree may be eligible for temporary appointment pending state licensure
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration (RN) in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: candidates meeting education requirements but lacking licensure may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure (120-day appointment, may be extended case-by-case)
- Physical ability to perform required duties; a pre-placement physical examination is required prior to appointment
Grade / level guidance (examples drawn from qualification standards):
- Nurse I, Level I — ADN or Diploma in Nursing (entry-level RN duties)
- Nurse I, Level II — ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN (no additional experience)
- Nurse I, Level III — ADN/Diploma + 2 years experience OR BSN + 1 year experience OR MSN (various combinations)
- Nurse II / Nurse III — BSN/MSN and several years of specialized/progressive nursing experience and leadership responsibilities as specified in the qualification standard

Employment Details & Compensation
- Employment type: Full-time / Contractor (intermittent scheduling)
- Location: Lewiston, ME
- Salary range: $79,904 - $139,497 per year (range provided by the hiring client)
- Pre-placement physical required
