What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (Interventional Radiology) — Education Debt Reduction Program Authorized — to provide high-quality nursing care in an interventional radiology setting. This position supports patient assessment, procedural preparation, intra-procedural monitoring, and post-procedure care consistent with facility policies and evidence-based practice.
- Provide direct patient care before, during and after interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor and document vital signs, sedation levels and patient responses
- Assist physicians and the interventional team during procedures (sterile field maintenance, equipment preparation)
- Administer medications and IV therapies per protocol and standing orders
- Educate patients and families on procedures, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Participate in quality improvement, safety reporting, and interdisciplinary communication
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation and facility standards
- Support the Education Debt Reduction Program requirements as applicable
Qualifications
Minimum requirements (candidates must meet one of the accredited education/licensure pathways and state licensure requirements):
- English language proficiency (ability to read, write and speak basic English)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) OR equivalent as specified by VA-equivalency pathways
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or District of Columbia
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception may apply for eligible candidates pursuing licensure (temporary appointment rules apply)
- Demonstrated experience and credentials consistent with the assigned grade/level (Nurse I Level I–III, Nurse II, Nurse III). Examples:
- Nurse I, Level I: ADN/Diploma, entry-level clinical competence
- Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN
- Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma + 2 years (with one year at Level II) OR BSN + 1 year OR MSN
- Nurse II / Nurse III: BSN/MSN and progressive specialized experience as required for leadership/advanced roles
- Ability to meet physical and sensory requirements listed below
Preferred (where applicable):
- Prior interventional radiology or procedural area nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, or other certification per facility policy
- Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
Physical & Sensory Requirements
The role includes patient handling and extended periods of standing/walking. Typical requirements include:
- Moderate lifting/carrying (15–44 pounds); light lifting under 15 pounds
- Repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, pushing/pulling as needed (8–12 hours)
- Walking/standing for extended periods (8–9 hours)
- Use of hands/fingers and both legs
- Near and far vision standards (correctable to required acuity)
- Ability to distinguish basic colors; hearing (assistive devices allowed)
Compensation & Employment Details
- Pay range: $78,714 – $181,738 per year (range provided by Confidential Client)
- Employment type: Full-time; Contractor classification included per posting
- Location: Dallas, TX (on-site)
