Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse — Inpatient Staff Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care in Columbia, MO. This is a full-time, contractor role with a competitive salary range. The position requires active RN licensure and relevant nursing education; multiple experience/education pathways are described below.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver direct inpatient nursing care that is safe, effective, and evidence-based
- Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement nursing plans, and document care
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility policy
- Coordinate care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Support patient- and family-centered care, including education and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement, professional development, and evidence-based practice activities
Qualifications
Minimum requirements (applicable pathways are listed; grade/level placement depends on education and experience):
- English language proficiency for safe, effective direct patient care
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration/license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation where applicable)
- Foreign-educated nurses must hold current, full, active, and unrestricted registration and may require formal degree-equivalency validation for degree credit
Education/experience pathways for grade-level assignment (examples):
- Nurse I, Level I: ADN or Diploma in Nursing
- Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN with no additional experience
- Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma + 2 years (with progression) OR BSN + 1 year OR MSN with no additional experience
- Nurse II and Nurse III: advanced degrees and progressive specialized experience as outlined in the qualification standards
Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception:
- Candidates meeting education requirements but lacking full RN licensure may be appointed temporarily (e.g., up to 120 days while pursuing licensure; extensions considered case-by-case).

- Salary: $79,708 - $141,396 per year (listed range)
