What You’ll Do

Confidential Client seeks a Registered Nurse (Inpatient Staff Nurse) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on an inpatient unit in Buffalo, NY. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and participate in continuous quality and safety initiatives.

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and scope of practice
• Monitor patient status and escalate changes in condition
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinical staff
• Participate in unit-based improvement projects and evidence-based practice
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and documentation standards

Qualifications

Minimum requirements (candidates must meet at least one of the applicable education/licensure paths and maintain current RN licensure):

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accreditation where applicable)
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: candidates meeting education requirements but not yet licensed may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure (see program limits)
• Education/experience grade-level guidance:
  • Nurse I, Level I: ADN or Nursing Diploma
  • Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized nursing experience OR BSN (no additional experience)
  • Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma + 2 years (with prior progression) OR BSN + 1 year OR MSN (no experience)
  • Nurse II / Nurse III: higher education plus required specialized experience as detailed in the qualification standard
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
• Meet physical requirements as outlined in applicable directives and handbooks

Preferred / helpful credentials:

• BSN or higher
• Prior inpatient nursing experience
• Evidence of professional development or leadership activities
